The Ohio EPA requires all public water supplies to have a backflow prevention program. OEPA considers a well, cistern, or pond as an auxiliary water supply and as such, it is considered a potential contamination source.

For our Customers:

Regulations on Cross Connection Control

Approved Backflow Testers

Backflow Prevention Guidelines

You may also find more on cross connection on the OEPA website.

For Backflow Testers:

Individuals who hold a Department of Commerce Backflow Tester Certificate may become qualified to test backflow devices on our system. Schedule an appointment with our Backflow Program Coordinator and sign our backflow tester's agreement.
