There are no boil alerts for customers at this time.

Boil advisories are issued only if sample result is positive after a depressurization in our main line. There may be planned events when system improvements are made, main breaks, or accidents such a contractor digging into our line. Once the line is repaired and pressure is restored, we will flush the line and perform a bacteriological analysis. The process requires 24 hours to complete.  If bacteriological contamination is found, you will be advised to boil for 24 hours or until a negative bacteriological result is received.

    During a boil advisory. . .

  • Do not consume tap water that has not been disinfected including ice made from tap water or raw foods rinsed with tap water.
  • Disinfect water by maintaining a rolling boil for one minute.
  • Safe alternative sources of potable water include bottled or distilled water.

Upon removal of a boil advisory. . .

  • Flush household faucets by running cold water for three minutes each if they have not been used in the last 24 hours.
  • Flush home automatic icemakers by discarding the first three batches of ice.
